Nausea As The Predominant Symptom?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I get the odd 1 week to 2 week-long headache (once every 4-8 weeks) but constant nausea has always been my number one complaint. I just find it odd that I can get nausea with NO other symptoms. (Part of the reason it took 8 years to get a diagnosis) Just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat?

Heavy duty antihistamines' are the only thing that work for me when I have nausea. I used to get it quite a lot but more because of the coeliac disease

I have ondansetron melts from my GP. Usually offered to cancer patients. Works really well. Over the counter stuff doesn't work well.

Interesting. What do you use to treat the nausea?? I've seem to have tried almost all types of anti-nausea meds there are, (as well as the other standard methods, ginger, mint etc) most do nothing, had the most success with Metoclopramide which used to work around 50% of the time, but I can't really use it anymore because for some reason the side effects just keep getting stronger and now it just knocks me out and makes me feel really depressed.

Yes. I describe it as stomach migraine. I have found that by treating nausea when I get the full on migraine, the pain is less overall.
