I woke up earlier today with blood caked all over my face and a pillow I will have to get rid of.
I had the bloody nose thing for about 6 months to a year. It was never conclusive on whether it was the medication, high blood pressure that came w/ the pain, or just the migraine itself since it could be a symptom of all of them. I would definitely talk to the doctor more about it.
Hi Will......when I was younger I got a bloody nose with every migraine I had....but I also had high blood pressure even when I was like ten but there were no meds they could safely give me at that time...once I got closer to 18 they put me on meds for the blood pressure and those stopped when I had migraines they Dr said I have weak blood vessels in my nose so when the pressure goes up it would make them bleed especially if I was in dry air...now years later I no longer have trouble with my blood pressure I can still feel the familiar throb at my temples where the blood vessels are and it just doesn't stop till like the day after my migraine stops...I know this probably doesn't help your situation much but this is what happened to me and thought I would share....I hope you are having as pain free day as you can possibly have....my day has been pretty good....my lil man came to visit me this weekend...but I didn't know my son made plans to see other family members as well so I didn't get to see my grandson the whole weekend like I usually do....but hey I'll take whatever time I get with him especially since he's only 4 and one day he will decide he's just too old to hang with gramma....so whatever time he wants to give me...this gramma is ready for it!! hang in there Will there are many of us who understand how you are feeling

@A MyMigraineTeam Member. I am sorry to hear that. My doc don't want to give me any thing stronger than hydracodone 10/325. It's stopped working because I have been tacking them for almost ten years.
I was diagnosed following a CT scan with and without contrast after my left arm went numb at work (a hospital). I have had daily migraine since September of 2011. I continue to have aura. I am now 100% disabled with symptoms somewhat controlled with topamax, cymbalta and OxyContin.
I find that if I've been taking certain medications I will start to get multiple blood noses a day. So it wouldn't hurt to ask your doctor if the blood noses are a potential side affect of a medication your taking. (This is of course only if your taking any medication / pain relief)
