Has Anyone Ever Tried The Daith Piercing?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

My husband was online doing some research on migraine treatments an came across what is called a daith piercing and I was wondering if anyone has ever tried it or research it and what they thought about it.

I do, it helped for a bit but then not so much. It's cute though. Just FYI the after are and healing time is very long.

I got mine done on both sides about a year and a half ago. They helped IMMENSELY. I had surgery a year ago and had to take them out and unfortunately i couldn't get the earrings back in. I recently got them re-peirced and again a great result. The healing time was nothing on the second go round either! I do still occasionally get migraines but it's usually if I wait too long to eat or is triggered by a strong smell. I have not just woken up with a random migraine either time I've had the earrings in. Good luck!!!

I got my right side done about a year ago it just recently healed. I got my left side done in November it is still healing. It has helped along with medication in how often i Get my migraines but has not eliminated them. I still get migraines but not as frequently as i did before. Healing is slow and a long process. Keep clean and listen to your piercer. When i got each of them done i could feel and hear a release of pressure. It's an odd sound and feeling. Ask for a piece of cotton to be placed in your ear if you are sensitive to sounds close to your ear as this will help lessen the sound. It was sore for me for about a week after. And was touchy for several weeks after that. I did have some problems with developing a piercing bump which my piercer told me how to treat and get rid of. This was also sore and made healing longer. It is caused by trauma to the area. My ring kept getting caught in my hair and pulled.
