I have 2 large gaps in my resume because I was laid off from previous jobs due to my migraines. Once because I was on disability and my doctor wouldn't clear me to come back when they wanted me to and another because I worked for an evil company that illegally laid me off because I suffered from migraines (but was still within my sick days and always had Dr. notes).

My migraines are mostly under control now, I still get them, and the place I work for now is very supportive and understanding. Iā€¦ read more

i had large gaps in my resume as well, I just said that I was out for medical reasons that have been resolved. It is hard, you don't want to give out to much information and at the same time you do need to explain yourself. You might want to check out the Americans with Disabilities Act to see what a potential employer can legally ask. If the company is large with an HR department they most likey know the ropes but it's always best to be prepared.
