Do You Feel You Have Lost Many Childhood Memories, From A Long Lifetime Of Having Migraines?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

It seems that much of my childhood memories have been lost, after experiencing perhaps thousands of migraines in pre-teen through my adult lifetime. There may have been other extenuating circumstances that contributed to this. So just wondering if anyone can relate?

Oh my goodness, yes! I thought I was the only one. So many memories have been lost and I don't understand why. I always thought it was just something malfunctioning in my brain. Everything else in me is somehow different. I hate to reminisce around family because I get lost not being able to remember what they're talking about. Yes, I know what you mean.

I had never thought of this before.....
But I can truly answer YES !! I had suffered migraines really from the age of around 10/11, I missed so much school and was permanently tired..
I always thought I could never remember any of my life as a teenager, only that I had a very stressful life..
Now I can actually connect with my migraines taking over my life forever !! I'm now 55 !! It has been a revelation, not just my mind blanking out my horrendous life !! Thanks for sharing ..
WOW !!!!!!!!!!!

I have as well. I went to the Neuro recently and found that I have been walking around with 3 herniated discs in my neck contributing to my migraines and now my short term memory is gone.

Me too!! I could quote Loftyone1 only I'm 44.. I thought that maybe because my father passed when I was 6 and I had a horrendous childhood, teen years that I blanked out so many memories..

In my opinion, spinal and neck degenerative issues, certainly have contributed to mine and my sons, near daily battle with migraine. But we also have a certain family history of inherited migraiine disease. So even though not the direct cause for us, certainly a exasperating factor. Wishing you answers for the best treatment for your relief. 🌼
