It was beautiful temperate weather for my birthday last week. I arrived at the restaurant feeling pretty good, to meet up with my daughter and grandson, a friend and her daughter. Absolutely - most social interactions/events/ outings cause me to deal with a level of migraine not always related to number of people. For me it is overall noise level and activity.
I agree, it's almost like you're trying to just keep it all together and you can't.
I do. I wear earplugs whenever I can to try and minimize distractions (clinking plates, ambient music)
There are two reason I become less engaged: first is the sound of my own voice is friggin painful (shocking! A woman who canโt stand the sound of her own voice!๐ค)
The second reason is I know the aphasia is going to start soon, and although close family is used to wrong words or a description instead of the word...a server or table close by could perceived me in an unflattering way (paranoia sets in)
I have a very low tolerance for bright light, loud noises ( bye, movie theater) heat, etc.
I am schedule to try the new shot that just came out ๐๐ผ Just as soon as remember to call in business hours/
oh yes indeed. Overhead lights, slatted blinds.....and anything back lit..... in a restaurant I have to pick the table to minimize the triggers.....so now I don't go out much
I get migraines in high social situations and high anxiety
