I have had migraine for at least 50 years, nothing has worked for more than a short period of time until my doctor put me on Carbamazepine, it's an anti seizure medication that has been around for a very long time and has very few side effects. I got relief within a week of taking it. I have been on it since the end of April and have only had 3 or 4 attacks, all of them reasonably brief and I was able to pin point the trigger. It is so amazing. I have gone from being chronic and not being able to function to feeling better than I have in years. It's worth mentioning it to your doctor, it may help.
If you do try it, please let me know if it helps.

I had the same experience and had to quit topomax. Have you tried relpax? It’s as needed. After 20 years of migraines, it’s the only thing that works for me. It’s can cause some drowsiness and queasiness so make sure to have a full tummy. I also notice the earlier I take it the quicker it works. Good luck. I feel the struggle.
