My neurologist put me on 60 mg once a day for my weather migraines. She said I should try it for 2-4 weeks.
I've been on 160 for a decade and a half or so. I have tried to go off it and I get instant migraines. I still get weather related migraines/ Those are pretty much all I get anymore.
I just got an article in my inbox that spoke about using weighted blankets. I knew nothing about them.
Has anyone tried a weighted blanket to help with sleep or pain at night?
Here's a link to the article.

I'm off to research it. But I would love feedback if anyone has any!
Hugs all around
Hi,
I did return it. And no problem!
Hello all. I am new to this page and newly diagnosised with migraines. My neurologist has tried me on a couple of different medications with none working so far. Topamax made me lose weight and cymbalta makes me sick. Neurologist said next thing to try is Depakote. Was wondering if anyone has had any success on this medication. Thank you in advance.
Tried it years ago for several months...did not help my migraines...
Several months of daily migraines. Working on meds. Probably related to a neck injury. And lots of dietary and environmental triggers. Definitely have issues with bright lights. Was an issue at work with the fluorescent lights. Wore a special hat like card dealers wear! Took a tube out of the fixture even. Now I’m home and a new problem. All the gray skies and I usually ski. Can’t now. So I have a special light to help release the “happy” me and my migraines prevent me from using it!!! Too… read more
The post question was for need for indoor light. See my initial comment
Every person is different with medication. I have been taking this medication since 2019 for another health issue. My dosage is at 200 milligram a day twice a day but I have no side effects at all and… read more
I used to and I feel it doesn't work
Just started taking Qulipta and it seems that it is working well. I used to take Aimovig which seemed to do very little. Nurtec did nothing for me :( Triptans for as needed help.
At this point I'm willing to try anything.
Is it still working good for you now
They think I have vestibular migraines, but basically running a test taking the drug since nothing has been diagnosed for what's causing my vertigo.
I understand!!
New resident doctor...which is a doctor in training...decided to not allow me to take 50 Mg of Sumitriptan daily, even though it's been working for a long time without affecting my heart or anything. My blood pressure is slightly elevated, but not in danger zone. I have been losing weight intentionally...packed some on during covid, but not in too bad of a shape. They seem to think they are rebounds...but everything rebounds your body, including anything with caffeine, sugar, and much more… read more
Bright light is definitely a trigger and even when light wasn't the particular trigger when a migraine starts I often wear sunglasses indoors. I even had to put them on during church Sunday because the sunlight was glaring off of the snow on a hill across the street from our church. The window it was coming in was on the other side of the sanctuary and just barely in my peripheral vision, that was an unwelcome first. I wear sunglasses outside most of the time now too, ever since I had cataract… read more
I've had mine for over 2 years now and some days they are the only reason I am able to go outside. Great customer service with quick response.
