I prefer ice over heat( weird I know). I’ve been doing it over 7 years now, after my first fusion. I put an ice pack behind my neck and one that goes around my head for my forehead.
If you have had a neck fusion ( my first was c5, c6), be careful with a chiropractor. I went to one that was referred from my doctor. My headaches were going away, but slowly was getting tingling in my arm, and then intense pain. Well, C7 was getting all the tension, and it finally , literally exploded, hence my 2nd fusion. They told me that they had to pick out bone from my nerves 😬.
Hope this helps a bit.

I too get migraines starting behind my left eye and radiating to the back of my head. I wake up every morning with an ice pick headache that turns into multiple headaches as soon as I get out of bed. I have had lots of test been put on multiple medications and still nothing is working. I know what your going through it sucks how much these headaches can debilitate you. I hope you find answers

Do you know what they give you with the fluids? Reglan, tordal, and benadryl help decrease the pain.
