My migraine triggers are barometric system (weather change) I get the migraine two days before the system arrives, once it arrives just like a snap of the fingers it’s gone! I live in WI
I’m looking to relocate for retirement (I thought AZ?)
I am on disability due to migraines. I am very sensitive to barometric pressure shifts. I live in Utah. Last year the storms were horrendous. I asked my doctor where he would move to for… read more
My migraines are definitely triggered by the barometric pressure going down. It doesn't seem to bother me when it rises. I live in the Calgary, Alberta, Canada region and we have the worst BP changes in the country. Used to love the Chinooks over the mountains as it brings warmer weather but now that I have migraines, I dread them.
I get one almost every time the B. Pressure changes. If I take a ubrelvy as soon as I get the first sign of a migraine I can avoid severe pain. Just have the "dull" pain/pressure
I can't believe how much better I feel now that the temperature has dropped. There also does not seem to be the big fluctuations in the temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. The thing that is still messing with my head is precipitation. I know the day before it's going to rain, then it rains and then it takes a day to feel better. That's three days out of my life. Weather migraines are really bad, anybody else have them? In sure lots of us do. Anyone know how to avoid or cope… read more

Hello,
After a long journey, I think we are finally figuring out that I have been experiencing silent migraines for just over two years now. I am new to this group and still have lots to learn. Does anyone know if MRI scans usually indicate whether silent migraines (or any other type) have been occurring, or do neurologists tend to diagnose them based on symptoms and medical history alone?
Thank you,
Janessa

My symptoms started two years ago. I started with shoulder pain, which… read more
Anyone have any info on a Daith piercing? I am considering it, but need more information.
I tried it a few years ago. Made mine worse, so I took out the earring and let it grow over. I'd recommend trying acupuncture first. They use the same point, and if that works, you might be a good… read more
I was just prescribed Sumatriptans, but took and Excedrin Migraine 6 hrs ago. Is it safe to take the sumatriptans? The Excedrin Migraine did not work!
Thank you!
Not all triptans cause rebound headache and a significant number of neurologists now believe there is no such thing as a rebound headache for the vast majority of patients. Such as Dr. Alex Mauskop a… read more
@A MyMigraineTeam Member, Well that certainly sounds like the reason. I was once hospitalized for a week because they couldn't get my blood pressure back up. They had two giant ladies hold me on a… read more
I know it's common for people with epilepsy, but they've ruled out epilepsy and told me it's just a migraine aura. Does anyone else experience this? What usually happens is I get the deja vu in my sleep, wake up with the deja vu (it's really intense) often I have excess saliva or I have nausea and vomiting. Soon after the deja vu I experience severe headache (migraine).
Yes, I've have had aural! Since I started having migraines as a 9 year old
I started taking Exindrine and they would either go away or be reduced enough for me to function. I know there are… read more
