My migraine triggers are barometric system (weather change) I get the migraine two days before the system arrives, once it arrives just like a snap of the fingers it’s gone! I live in WI
I’m looking to relocate for retirement (I thought AZ?)
I too am a person heavily triggered by a drop in the barometric pressure prior to a storm's arrival. I kiddingly refer to myself as a human barometer because it can be a gorgeous day but for me if a storm's at least 2 days away I'm in agony. Which just intensifies the closer it gets. I get a very little bit relief once it passes, but it's more like a migraine hangover day spent wiped out from it. This has been my life for the last 52 years!!! 😪. I have 4 college degrees & live near the poverty line due to being totally & permanently disabled by these damn migraines 😫.
We need solutions for headaches not descriptions of headaches!
So sorry to have to tell you this but AZ is not any better for barometer triggered headaches. We're there for 6 mos. in the winter and early spring. I can feel the storms when they come in from the Pacific Ocean...sometimes 3 days in advance! So...the crazy thing is it can be a perfectly beautiful day and because of my headache I can predict a storm coming! I have to be careful to not sound like a pessimist.
I’m a weather migrainer. I left Seattle (Whidbey Island) because the weather is killer for migraines there, and tried Tucson. It was just as bad. A headache specialist there said if a city has lots of headache clinics (Tucson does), avoid it! Miami and San Diego and Honolulu are supposed to be good. There’s a list you can google, best and worst places to live with migraine.
When I’m on Vacation at the Ocean I feel so much better. It’s definitely the Salt Air and Steady Temp.
