Have you tried acupuncture to treat migraines? Please share your story.
I've been getting acupuncture for the past several weeks, and I think it has helped me some - but I'm trying multiple treatments all at once, so it's really hard to tell.
Hi @A MyMigraineTeam Member my headache specialist and another doctor at the Beth Israel headache clinic said that it probably didn't help me because my migraine was "too out of control" and I should try again after I had some "more aggressive treatment". I have been thinking it may be time to add it back in. I totally believe it works. My dog gets it. 😆
I been getting acupuncture for 4 years now. I just switched to a new person. I went in with a mild migrsine and came out with a raging migraine. I was shaking and nauseous by the time I got home. I ran in, went straight to the bathroom and couldn't stop throwing up. My stomach was going too. My husband was freaking out. I was shaking so bad. He had me lay down with cold cloth on my face. The pain was excruciating. I was crying and shaking. He got my gingerale and managed to help me get down my replax. I lay there shaking for mqybe 20 minutes and finally passed out. I get bad migraines but I usually don't let them get this bad. Is this normal?
I tried acupuncture three times and Chinese herbs and cupping once but sadly didn't help me
I tried acupuncture twice, no luck. I do take feverfew an herbal remedy. My current headache doctor suggested it. I think that helps a little.
