I have been under care with Cleveland Clinic for years and have been to their Imatch program. I'm moving on to a new neurologist hoping for another approach to treatment.
It's the med that is equivalent to Migranal nasal spray.
DHEA or DHE? I've had DHE infusion you describe. IT has worked well for me.
I am usually in intense pain after two days. This is when I trip to the ER is warranted for them to give me my cocktail by IV: DHEA, Benedryl, anti nausea med and a pain med. It alleviates some of the pain.
I just had my first intractable migraine here in OH and it lasted over 4 weeks. I'm finishing the final doses of depakote, which I think is working, after 2 separate infusions at CC. I first saw this neurologist in Feb so I'm not sure if he understood how tenaciously my migraines hold on.
People are different so the med changes and nerve blocks may end your headache whereas mine came back. But I wish you well and encourage you to be a strong advocate for yourself or take someone who will be if you're in too much pain.
I go to Cleveland Clinic next week. I am hoping that they can do what my Neurologists have been unsucessful at so far and can break my intractable migraine.
