How Do You Get Your Insurance To At Least Cover Nerve Blocks For Cerviogenic Headaches?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

Can anyone tell what specialist to see. I am currently seeing a headache specialist and she really doesn't care to address the neck issue. I've had a chiropractor, a physical therapist and a doctor all tell me how my neck feels like a brick. I torn between a pain clinic and an orhtopeadist? Any advice?

I've had 3 nerve blocks over the past 2 years. My neurologist said it's safe to have them twice a year. I found that they advanced my arthritis so I stopped. I started going to a NUCCA doctor March 17th and my migraines stopped...yes stopped. For the first time in 30 yrs. For neck pain I wear a soft cervical collar at night to keep my neck from moving in strange positions, I take CBD oil twice a day 1/4 teaspoon and I spray magnesium oil on my neck twice a day and this has stopped the neck pain.

I have daily cervicogenic headaches that have ruined my life. I get some temporary relief from the Baumann traction device and icing.
How are you doing now and where do you get the CBD oil? I have looked for a NUCCA chiropractor and they are an hour away. Regular chiropractic helps my headache for only a few hours. I have ordered the cervical collar you mentioned, hopefully that will help. 😊

Go see a NUCCA chiropractor. I suffered for 30 yrs with migraine & neck pain. I went to a NUCCA chiropractor for 3 1/2 months and I am migraine free.I had to go 3 times a week at first but now my neck has NO pain and I am migraine free. I've had nerve blocks and all it does is calm them down it doesn't take them away. I never thought I'd be migraine free. I almost went to an ortho and I'm glad I didn't. I chose a NUCCA chiropractor. Don't go to a regular chiropractor because they have a different approach. I also take CBD oil today I have absolutely no pain and I'm amazed, I still can't believe it.

Keep your headache specialist. I would see an orthopedist that specializes in necks or a neurosurgeon that specializes in necks, this does not mean you are asking for surgery. Maybe they can shed some light on your situation and prescribe some exercises. I saw a massage therapist who was certified in pain management. She was one of the most helpful professionals for me.

I saw a pain management specialists he did rodzyme. Basically they cut the nerves in your neck to stop the pain.Omg I was shocked at the result one day no pain two days no pain so on and so on.. I never knew these daily headache cause my neck shoulders collar bone and back pain. All that went away after I had this done.. they say it only last year mine lasted a year and half. Where I only noticed the headache in the back of my head when I had this done I found that I also had them in the front had to go back and get shots in the face for that.. I don't care as long as I don't have to suffer everyday like this.
