A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am on sumatriptain 50mg and also propranolol. I really don't recall if it was after taking these medicines or if it's been longer but....I feel awesome and on top of the world and when I do it's soon to come, the head pain. The nausea the sweating and stuffy head. The want stop throwing up. When the head finally stops hurting. I'm starving and the next 3/4 days I feel so beat. So tired. Still nauseated. Then day after day I wake up feeling so hot, hard to breath and just not right. Not sure… read more

ive been on Neurotin for a very long time now, thats the only thing im on for migraines besides my breakthrough med Maxalt which i like a lot. im on some physch meds as well so idk if that has something to do with the migraine meds but yeah Neurotin and Maxalt. im in constant pain, i have chronich migraine but its always there 24/7 but other than the pain (i dont think ill ever get rid of that) ive been mostly stable. if that made any sense to you. i have a bad migraine right now haha but i wanted to try to help. it also kinda sounds like your meds are kinda making you manic and then making you crash. ask about the Neurotin.

I never really feel good
..sometimes the isolated head pain that doesn't erupt into a full blown migraine is less or more each day but it's always there!

i take the neurotin twice a day, i guess its to level it out. the maxalt is for breakthrough migraines. the maxalt really works. i have chronic migraines so mine never go away. i wake up and its there and i go to sleep (when i can) and its there. its always there.

Does the neurotin help prevent the migraines or is it something to take when they come? I'll try anything. Like you said not sure if it's the meds that are causing all the crazy or if it is just migraines themself. I've had them my whole life but they are worse more now ever. Thank you really appricate your advice and help! Sorry your head hurts always, showers help sometimes and sleep gives you a break from the pain. Hope your feeling better and continue to do so!
