I'm caught somewhere between hormonal migraines and occipital neuralgia. I'm so confused as to the actual cause of the occipital. Anyone else dealing with this?
I've had Chronic Migraines for 10 years.I have them 24/7,and I have a few fertility/hormonal conditions that I think play a major role in my migraines. They're definitely worse around the time of the month.Every contraception I tried made it even worse so the only one I found to be ok is the Copper Coil.I think the best thing is to try and work with a Neurologist as well as a Gynaecologist or hormone specialist to try and find something that'll help.I hope you find something.
I get migraines at least two days during my period.
No
Yes, I get a migraine 2-4 days before my period is due. Every single month.
Hanna, have you found any type of hormonal treatment that has helped reduce your migraines? I'd be curious to talk to you about your fertility/hormonal conditions and potential link to your migraines. I'm in a very similar situation.
