I’m off to Spain with the whole family in June and bit worried that my migraines are going to ruin the whole week.
Would like some advice or tips that you have tried that have worked to prevent them as much as possible.
I went to Spain with my boyfriend in 2016 and then with my friends later that same year.
The time with my boyfriend I got sinusitis just before hand and was compleyely knocked out by it.
But they have great policy in Spanish pharmacists, you can get almost all meds over the counter there and painkillers are much stronger there too.
So I agree with Joan, drink tonns of water and suppliment (I've been supplimenting with 1200mg Magnesium, 400mg Riboflavin and 120mg CoQ10 as well as CBD oil, which has no psychoactive affect, so don't worry), but I'd also say to take a sinus rinse with you like NEIL MED or Steremar or something as a back up!
And on both holidays I made sure to Siesta, one of my friends suffers eposodic migraine so she also needed to nap, and try to keep cool, so try to make sure you have cold drinks and LOTS OF ELECTROLYTES!!
I make my own electrolyte drink with pink salt, glucose , lemon , raspberries and water (sometimes add chia seeds and ice too). And try to wear big hats and DARK preferably reflective glasses (and lots of suncream, because when you're sunburned, youre all hot and sore which for me heat can be a trigger)
I hope that wasn't too much info. Feel free to message me or go to my instagram, I check that more regularly ( @A MyMigraineTeam Member)
I went to Rhodes a few years ago and I had headache for the fortnight. Drink plenty water, take a magnesium supplement and take plenty triptons with you. Oh, and keep your eyes shaded from the sun.
Thankyou for all your help will go look in to all of that i really wanna enjoy my holiday . Xx
