I can't believe how much better I feel now that the temperature has dropped. There also does not seem to be the big fluctuations in the temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. The thing that is still messing with my head is precipitation. I know the day before it's going to rain, then it rains and then it takes a day to feel better. That's three days out of my life. I have had migraines since I was 5 years old. My Mom always thought they were sinus headaches. They are mostly on the right side. If I get one on the left, it will last a few days, then move to the right. We moved and current doctor just does not get it.
My migraines change from the left side to the right side. They migrate. And there is no rhyme or reason for it. At none that I've figured out.
When I got nurtec approved for everyday as prevention, it did not work for me. Very strange, but that’s how migraines are for me. Nurtec as an abortive will usually help me.
Every month when I take my Aimovig inj for the first week it seems that I have terrible migraines and then I'm better. Anyone else!? And yes... barometric/environmental systems reek havoc on my headaches also. When
weather is nice, not too hot, not too humid, just right I feel pretty good. But I also can tell way beforehand when rain is coming, or heat w/humidity,etc. too cold 🥶❄️, etc. I have Fibromyalgia too. The two seem to go hand in hand unfortunately!
I'm blessed that my husband believes in me about my migraines, and my mom. But I have a brother who thinks I USE migraines as a way to not go to family get together.
