For the last week or two, the back of my neck and upper shoulder area has been hurting so bad I have to wear a neck pillow anywhere I sit and sleep on my stomach to help
I experiance neck pain with my headaches ive been seeing a chiropractor for over a year now to relief the tension that builds up from being in pain ive gone from seeing her twice a week to once a month maybe two months depending how i feel at the time i would recommend this as it does help most of the time except when im having a full blown migraine and get admitted to hospital
Yes, I experience neck pain and always need the right support pillow, while sitting or sleeping. I found a cooling gel pillow very helpful for sleeping (but I did cut out part of the foam on reverse side in the middle, to allow neck support without raising my head too high). Also making a support pillow, by filling a cloth sleeve with dry rice and lentils, that I keep
In the freezer. Sometimes just sitting in the shower and letting the warmest water hit the back of my neck, has been helpful.

My primary care doctor is a DO and does manipulation, as part of my treatment plan we try to do manipulation every 3-6 weeks to ease muscle tension both to prevent migraines and to release the tension after a migraine.
I tend to experience neck pain once the migraine is over. I also have several tender spot on my head. I find a gentle massage helps.
