Sorry I was rushing when it's really bad, I have to just lay down and rest, with ice pack because I suffer days at a time. Ice pack on my neck in the dark, take an aspirin, drink a half of diet coke, turn the air up.

Depends on what type I am having. I usually darken the room, put on something soothing to listen too, keep the room cool, use an ice pack on the back of my neck, a cool cloth on my forehead. I do take my meds for when a migraine starts as well as preventative but they are not as effective since I had Covid. I also use a citrus scent like grapefruit, bergamot etc That seems to help a bit. Peppermint oil on my temples, back of neck and on the pressure points in my wrist and below my thumb on the pad of the hand. Caffeine does help sometimes so will have a cup of coffee or coca cola (my preference). I have a self kit I created when my kids were young. In it has items that I can use to distract my brain so I don't focus on the pain. Simple crafts, eye cooling pillow with lavendar, rice bags in case ice doesnt help (made my own out of socks and rice microwave 1 to 2 min), movies I enjoy, oil diffuser... Finding what works for you is essential. Some can't handle the scents so it wouldnt be good for them to use a citrus essential oil. Actually writing the plan down helps. When my head hurts I can't focus so forget what I can do to help myself. Hugs, I do hope you find something that helps. Be creative. Coloring helps me a lot too.
