Has Anyone Quit Their Preventative Because It Took Forever To Get Refilled?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

I was taken off topomax 3 weeks ago when i got botox and was given samples of qulipta. Now its been a week without any medicine and i had my 2 migraines. But that is usual. I am sick of medicine and the side effects. Acid reflux and stomach aches. Anyone just listen to their bodies instead of the doctor?

Yes, I had to for different reasons. So Iā€™m just on meds now for migraines. It works pretty well for me but not for them all the time. I have them daily so I definitely need pain control. Prayers

Sometimes I crave certain foods, for instance bananas and I don't know why until my neurologist told me that I am probably craving it because I am low on potassium.
If you are quiet, as in meditation, you can hear what your body is saying.

Do listen to your body, it knows best and when you find a neurologist that agrees it is worth it.

I hear you Elizabeth, now I must say, after my daughter turned 18, I started to do a lot of work on my mental health and when I got that sorted, after a year the migraine made an appearance with a bang, that was maybe 3 yrs after womb removed and my new neurologist thinks that's why they appeared,I gave them room to. It makes sense to me because I've done the whole mental health process and it helped me and to be honest I believe if I had gotten help/support sooner they may not be as bad today.

I've always listen to my gut and last few years my body, it gives of small signs that something isn't right. Like recently I've been under the weather, pains, aches, feeling cold, (which was great in the weather we've been having lately) tired increased migraines, but my nerves were tingling in my feet like alight sting. As well as Migraine I suffer from low thyroid so I thought that what it was. Got bloods done and its low vitamin B levels now I never suffered with that before so that has an over all effect on everything going on in your body, so more supplements. I have an idea how its happened, a lot of stress, caring for someone and completely forgetting about myself and |I'm not getting any younger:(
