What was the dosage prescribed by your doctor? It’s very likely you were started on too high a dose.
I used to take gabapentin but I was only taking 100 mg at night. I had a neighbor who was taking 900 mg three times a day.
The dosing is so variable, and it might be helpful for you to ask these questions prior to ruling it out.

Doc tried me on gabspentin but I had a bad reaction, felt like I was drunk! After taking it for 3 days I Couldn't string a sentence together and my coordination was horrendous, I had to really concon putting one foot in front of another πŸ™ˆπŸ˜­
