Useless
Useless. No side effects. I've tried it to prevent one and also at the very first hint of one and during full blown. Try the Emgality shot. Took almost 3 months, but after crying from pain almost daily, I'm starting to see a difference. Too bad I still can't make plans and keep them or have a life, but being able to shower, sit up and feel ok..I'm happy.
Insurance will not cover but worked for break through headache
My migraine surgery consisted of removing my right occipital nerve and leaving my scalp all over my head completely, 💯 numb. Which they said my occipital nerve was wrapped around my main artery like a child's shoelace in knots. Then he deadened the nerves on each temple along with the nerve above each eye. I DO NOT recommend the surgeries UNLESS you're not a "debilitating chronic migraine and neck pain". I'm so debilitated by the pain it has left me with worse than EVER pain I have ever experienced in my head and neck. I'm losing muscle mass and motion to my neck more and more each day. It's leaving me to the point I can no longer drive or do things for myself. Do research if you ever decide the surgery. I was told by this particular surgeon he was going to fix me 100% and all my pain would be gone. NO! They'll do anything for the money. If we had MAID in my state I would be ready to go. I no longer have a life and see no resolutions for my pain. I see no light at the end of the tunnel. I've been through the surgeries, sinus surgeries, so many scans, and so many different specialists that say "sorry I can't help you". Cleveland Clinic I've been told is amazing but I don't have a way there and don't think they take disability Healthcare. I've been through every possible medication from migraine to beta blockers and in the ER even oxygen therapy. Nothing has helped.
Thanks! What is migraine surgery?
