My neurologist suggested massage, chiropractor and PT on my neck and shoulders for a daily persistent headache suggesting cervicogenic/tension headache/muscular skeletal also.

Yes, I do 2 massages a month from a local business that does health recovery services. It's somewhere between a regular massage parlor & a medical clinic. The massages themselves are beneficial, but can also increase symptoms for a brief period afterwards rather than relieve the symptoms of migraine. I tend to get incredibly dizzy after/during a session and it sometimes is difficult to get up from the table and get dressed to leave. Overall I get the massages for my overall body health such as muscle tension and stress relief, but it does help a bit with the migraines too. It helps similarly to exercise, like how after a workout your muscles are sore and your fatigued, but after a few hours/the next day you feel so much better overall. If you are leary of a full massage/chiropractor I would start with one of those at home massage guns and try working your neck and shoulder muscles with that and do some neck stretches first.

I do 2 massages per month and find them relaxing. They are not going to cure your headaches but may relax some tension in there. I don't get involved in chiropractic treatment. One headache doctor I listened to on the World Migraine Summit which is going on right now and what you should be listening to stated that rapid neck and head adjustments done in chiropracting treatments can in rare cases lead to stroke. I avoid chiropractors myself. Because of my degenerative disk disease I also do PT which might also be helpful for headaches. I have been referred for aqua therapy for my back and feel it will probably help with headaches as well. Have you considered neuromodulation therapy for your headaches? I would suggest that you google World Migraine Summit which has their 2024 summit going on right now. It's about 1/2 over now but goes on until March 13th. You can also purchase the 2024 Summit Package and get permanent info. on the subject of migraines and headaches. You will hear some incredible experts in the field. One of the lectures even talked about persistent daily headaches as well as neuromodulation treatments. This info on this website is awesome. Please listen to these lectures. I also do low impact workouts several days a week.
