I do take Magnesium Glycinate 800 mg nightly! It is not expensive and when I have a migraine I take just over 1000 mg per the national migraine foundation website.
It does work for me when I do remember to increase it when the onset of migraine comes on. It is available in many forms on amazon but I do want to say that you should not take citrate or oxide and a few others due to it will cause cramps and other unpleasant side effects…so watch which one you get! The national migraine foundation does state that it is the Glycinate that you need!

My last nuero put me on 800 mgs per day as a maintenance drug.. I was on so many meds I took myself off topiramate, metformin and the magnesium. I had been on fiorocet for onset migraines but my insurance wouldn't pay for it anymore and then I went to different meds that haven't been long term ... I want fiorecet back it's the only thing that helped...
