Flashing Blue Lights?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

I was in a minor auto accident last Wednesday and have had a migraine that started afterwards. I've been having these 'visions' where I'm seeing flashing blue lights every few moments. Does anyone have a suggestion about the visions I'm having?

At What Number On A Scale From 1-10 Do You Rate Your ā€œAverageā€ Migraine Pain?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

I have read comments about migraine scales being different for everyone. I agree with that. Which left me wondering, with 1 being the lowest and 10 the highest, pain level and incapacitation. What do you consider a ā€œaverageā€ or tolerable number on the scale? For me, at 1-3 I feel like I could throw a party, in my headšŸ˜‰. 3-4 is normal tolerable, allowing me to still function. 5-6 I feel anxious, cautious and usually take medication. 7-8 Iā€™m seeking dark, quiet and bring nausea medication onā€¦ read more

Do You Feel Guilty About Things You Can Not Do?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

It is a beautiful sunny day, the kind of day that I should be out doing some yard work. But, I just can't. My husband works at least 60 hours a week and this weekend he is working on my summer car. We have hired someone to do our yard work and some inside work that I am unable to do. I find it frustrating, and embarrassing that I have to hire someone to work for me and I find myself feeling very guilty. I don't know how to deal with these emotions. I was always the doer, the one that if youā€¦ read more

Does Any One Else Have A Really Painful Neck When A Migraine Hits?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

When I get a migraine my neck hurts really bad. I have found a neck brace really helps with the pain. Does any one else have this problem? Has any one else used a neck brace for this too? What else has any one tried that works?

A MyMigraineTeam Member

No to the neckbrace but yes to the pain. I actually asked hubby to learn to "stretch" my neck with massage movements. It eases tension in the neck and allows it to stretch like the rest of the bodyā€¦ read more

Triptan Overuse Rebound Headaches
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

What do you guys know about triptan overuse headaches?

I just learned of them from a nurse at my neurologistā€™s office. This had never been mentioned before by my neurologist and he prescribes me 30 rizatriptans per month and 7 frovatriptans per month, which covers my 20 migraines (if they decide to work). However, I had no idea that by taking the prescribed medication as directed, I could actually be causing more migraines. But if I donā€™t take them, Iā€™m in excruciating pain and amā€¦ read more
