A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I need help to deal with my condition.I don't mean with medicines,I mean how to deal with it emotionally and how to cope with it everyday.Do you see therapists, councillors, have treatments,go to group meetings?I need to find a way of managing my feelings of anger, depression, loneliness etc in a healthy way.I can't go on like this where I'll end up bringing everyone down with me.

Can People Share Their Experiences Of Taking Aimovig?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I’m having trouble getting my insurance to cover Emgality and my neuro says that Aimovig might be easier to get through for some reason. However, I’m rather concerned about the severe constipation side effect that has caused some patients to need surgery as that has been an issue I’ve had my whole life. How have you guys combatted that side effect? Any info you think would be useful would be much appreciated! TIA! 😊

Too Much Sun?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I spent a lot of time in the sun yesterday. Went for a 2 mile run- 25 minutes and then spent maybe another 35 minutes doing photography outside. Started having a pulsating headache around 4:30 PM. Can too much Vitamin D cause migraine?

A MyMigraineTeam Member

Might heat rather than vitamin d. Try a cool shower and see if that helps to prevent headaches. It helps me.

I Have A Few Questions To Pose To Those That Have Gotten The Daith Piercing.
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

1. Are they easy to remove & put back in? I have multiple brain issues so i have to get annual scans so i have to remove ALL my facial piercings. I cannot get any piercings that i cannot remove myself or put back in myself
2. Are they sensitive/painful to lie on or to remove/put back in
3. How quickly did you notice the difference in your migraines?
4. Did you get both sides done? If not, do you think you should've?
5. Would you recommend the daith piercing to your favorite sister/best friend… read more

Barometric Pressure....how Does It Affect You And Is There Anything You Can Do To Avoid Them?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

My migraines are definitely triggered by the barometric pressure going down. It doesn't seem to bother me when it rises. I live in the Calgary, Alberta, Canada region and we have the worst BP changes in the country. Used to love the Chinooks over the mountains as it brings warmer weather but now that I have migraines, I dread them.

A MyMigraineTeam Member

I get one almost every time the B. Pressure changes. If I take a ubrelvy as soon as I get the first sign of a migraine I can avoid severe pain. Just have the "dull" pain/pressure
