Ouch! So sorry.
Over 40 plus years, I have explained “I have a migraine” thousands of times. To family, loved ones, friends and even during social interactions, to offer explanation for myself. Those even closest to us, can often react with a sigh, eye rolling or smirk, and comments of total misunderstanding, of where we’re coming from. Yet in reality we are coping best we can. Yet I’m feeling more and more, that I literally hate hearing myself say, “ I have a migraine “. It is saddening to have to retreat… read more

I am currently suffering from an unbreakable migraine headache that won't let up and won't respond to home treatment.
I might have you confused you w/someone else. I get these senior moments! No fun. LOL
Howdy again, Migraine Warriors. I'm dealing with a symptom that seems to have dual causes & I'm curious who else struggles with it & how they deal with it, especially ways to reverse the effects. Memory loss. Like, severe dementia-style memory loss. Scary, will-i-wake-up-tomorrow-&-not-know-who-i-am scary. My causes seem to be migraine compounded by years of gabapentin (neurontin) use. I've gotten several responses from my PCP about it from 'your only option is to quit the gabapentin & hope for… read more
my doctor started me on memantine, which it what they prescribe for people with dementia. Too soon to see if it helps
Does anyone get a migraine/headache almost instantly just after eating? This can be eating anything,I know there’s certain foods that can trigger migraine but it seems no matter what I eat my head gets really bad instantly after eating anything-even after I’ve been trying a strict healthy diet to illuminate the obvious bad foods that could be causing it.I just don’t know if it’s possible to get them just by eating?😔

Hello all. I am new to this page and newly diagnosised with migraines. My neurologist has tried me on a couple of different medications with none working so far. Topamax made me lose weight and cymbalta makes me sick. Neurologist said next thing to try is Depakote. Was wondering if anyone has had any success on this medication. Thank you in advance.
Tried it years ago for several months...did not help my migraines...
I received my first Botox treatment yesterday. My neurologist told me that it could take two weeks to take effect. Today I've had some fairly strong pain spikes and visual disturbances, but no constant throbbing. I'm wondering about other people's experiences.
No not yet don't know if the health Insurance cover it
Hello.
I am thinking about getting a daith piercing for chronic migraines. I have used just about everything all over the years. I currently take propranolol, but it seems to becoming less effective and I frequently get breakthrough migraines lasting for days.
I see a lot of people say that this pierce is very painful, just wondered if it is more painful than a helix pierce or a navel pierce, which I have had previously?
Thanks in advance. Cate
Mine was agony 😭 And did nothing for my migraines 😭 I was so disappointed 😢 Looks like I’m destined to be like my Father and have lifelong migraines 😭 I just take diazapham which my doctor prescribes… read more
