How Much Does The Weather Play A Role With Your Migraine

How Much Does The Weather Play A Role With Your Migraine

I can't believe how much better I feel now that the temperature has dropped. There also does not seem to be the big fluctuations in the temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. The thing that is still messing with my head is precipitation. I know the day before it's going to rain, then it rains and then it takes a day to feel better. That's three days out of my life. Weather migraines are really bad, anybody else have them? In sure lots of us do. Anyone know how to avoid or cope… read more

I had it done years ago after first getting them. It didn't have any effect on my migraines. That's just me....might work for others.

Daith Piercing

Daith Piercing

I got the @piercing in my right ear about 4-5 years ago now. I had been having extreme migraines since middle school. Full blown light and sound sensitivity, dizziness when standing, severe pain behind my eyes radiating through my entire head , even down my neck. I would have to be taken to the hospital and given morphine shots to settle my head because 800 mg @ibuprofen , @advil, alive, even excedrin migraine and extra strength wouldn't cure it. In the 4-5 years I maybe have had 3- 4 bad… read more

Migraine Solution

Migraine Solution

I have an AMAZING solution for migraine headaches. Diath piercings. It is suggested that you have the side that you get your migraine on pierced, but since my headaches tend to switch sides, I had both sides done. It's been more than a year, and I have only had one migraine, and that was my fault due to not eating anything. As soon as I put some protein in my body, the headache went away.

Daith Piercing

Daith Piercing

I had the daith piercing done a year and a half ago while visiting a friend in Texas. I suffer from severe allergies and while there in TX I had a massive migraine and had to go to the hospital it was so bad. So my friend convinced me to try the piercing within 15 minutes of the piercing being done my headache was gone and I have not had one since. I have had some pressure in my sinus and aches in my neck upwards toward my head but they haven't become a migraine so to say. The daith piercingread more

What Letter Would You Write To Your Family And Friends?

What Letter Would You Write To Your Family And Friends?

Could it be cathartic to write a letter to your friends and family, expressing your feelings about life with migraines? Even if they never read it? This was mine
"A letter to my Family and friends" On this day, I walked out side into the morning sunshine. In this moment of this day, I feel joy. I am optimistically cautious as I emerge into the warmth of the light, away from where the curtains remain drawn. As I write this to you, I feel a smile on my face and revel in this moment. Warm… read more

Do You Feel Guilty About Things You Can Not Do?

Do You Feel Guilty About Things You Can Not Do?

It is a beautiful sunny day, the kind of day that I should be out doing some yard work. But, I just can't. My husband works at least 60 hours a week and this weekend he is working on my summer car. We have hired someone to do our yard work and some inside work that I am unable to do. I find it frustrating, and embarrassing that I have to hire someone to work for me and I find myself feeling very guilty. I don't know how to deal with these emotions. I was always the doer, the one that if you… read more
