How Much Does The Weather Play A Role With Your Migraine
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I can't believe how much better I feel now that the temperature has dropped. There also does not seem to be the big fluctuations in the temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. The thing that is still messing with my head is precipitation. I know the day before it's going to rain, then it rains and then it takes a day to feel better. That's three days out of my life. Weather migraines are really bad, anybody else have them? In sure lots of us do. Anyone know how to avoid or cope… read more

A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

The double dose of Effexor really eliminated the depression and anxiety. The weather is my biggest enemy. I live in the burbs north of Atlanta. One of my daughters lives in North Carolina. She… read more

Daith Piercing
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

Anyone have any info on a Daith piercing? I am considering it, but need more information.

A MyMigraineTeam Member

I tried it a few years ago. Made mine worse, so I took out the earring and let it grow over. I'd recommend trying acupuncture first. They use the same point, and if that works, you might be a good… read more

Daith Piercing
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I got the @piercing in my right ear about 4-5 years ago now. I had been having extreme migraines since middle school. Full blown light and sound sensitivity, dizziness when standing, severe pain behind my eyes radiating through my entire head , even down my neck. I would have to be taken to the hospital and given morphine shots to settle my head because 800 mg @ibuprofen , @advil, alive, even excedrin migraine and extra strength wouldn't cure it. In the 4-5 years I maybe have had 3- 4 bad… read more

Barometric Pressure....how Does It Affect You And Is There Anything You Can Do To Avoid Them?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

My migraines are definitely triggered by the barometric pressure going down. It doesn't seem to bother me when it rises. I live in the Calgary, Alberta, Canada region and we have the worst BP changes in the country. Used to love the Chinooks over the mountains as it brings warmer weather but now that I have migraines, I dread them.

I get one almost every time the B. Pressure changes. If I take a ubrelvy as soon as I get the first sign of a migraine I can avoid severe pain. Just have the "dull" pain/pressure

Who Wants To Join Me In Protesting These New Super Stronger Fragrances In Absolutely Everything?
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

If y'all are like me, you can't tolerate these super strong fragrances that they are adding to all products. Recently my "dumb" husband (his words not mine!) accidentally purchased a cleanser for the dishwasher, not paying attention to the fragrance listed in the ingredients. Needless to say I get a migraine everytime the dishwasher door is opened now. We have tried everything suggested on the Internet on how to get rid of the perfume, but nothing has worked for over a month. The chemical… read more

The nurse who did my intake had a strong fragrance on the other day at doc office. Shouldn’t they know. It’s a headache pain clinic!!

Migraine Solution
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have an AMAZING solution for migraine headaches. Diath piercings. It is suggested that you have the side that you get your migraine on pierced, but since my headaches tend to switch sides, I had both sides done. It's been more than a year, and I have only had one migraine, and that was my fault due to not eating anything. As soon as I put some protein in my body, the headache went away.
