Does your eye droop during migraines?

Does your eye droop during migraines?

Has anyone ever had this happen to their eye with a migraine? Sometimes it’s so bad I can’t hardly see. Always the same eye. It comes and goes. Happens whenever I drive for more than 15 minutes (which triggers a migraine) or whenever the migraines at home cross a pain level of about 7. Sunglasses don’t help. The neurologist said it’s not a stroke, that it’s a nerve issue. It’s not a muscle weakness, I can force my eyes open if I try hard. My optometrist is fascinated by it.… read more

Have you been to AZ Mayo for migraine treatment?

Have you been to AZ Mayo for migraine treatment?

Has anyone here had experience traveling for care from AZ Mayo Clinic? I’m waiting to hear back from them after being referred and am wondering what other people’s experiences have been like...how long you stayed...how often you go back...etc.

If you have stabbing intolerable pain in the left temple that is even with the corner of your eye and you try all of the pressure points

If you have stabbing intolerable pain in the left temple that is even with the corner of your eye and you try all of the pressure points

I tried the between thumb, the feet pressure points, the squeezing your nose, the squeezing the bridge of your nose and all of that. For 2 days I had tears out of one eye. Left side. Light sensitivity, noise sensitivity, all of that jazz. BC powders, Goody Headache powders, Topamax, Maxalt, did not help. Any ideas?

Is there anyone on disability because of migraines?

Is there anyone on disability because of migraines?

It has got so bad and so hard to concentrate, I have lost 2 jobs and closed a business in the last year. Along with trying just about every treatment, sometimes I need to take a small amount of a narcotic, which in most jobs they don't allow.
I have no idea what is involved or how hard it is to get approved. Anyone who has any experience with this and can offer any info would be very much appreciated.

Hi has anyone had problems when their dose of topiramate?

Hi has anyone had problems when their dose of topiramate?

I have had my dose of topiramate increased from 25mg to 50mg per day and am now getting stomach cramps, not hungry and falling asleep all the time. I feel so shattered. Has anyone else had this problem please? Any help would be welcomed as I’m only going to see my GP tomorrow morning and it could be a battle. Many thanks.

Trying to understand my options

Trying to understand my options

Is severe migraines diagnosis considered a type of disability that I could maybe apply for FMLA. There are days I drag to work and vomit and cry from the pain and nausea if it’s something covered under FMLA. I wouldn’t jeopardize my job from missing more days than I’m allowed for sick time. I have missed my allotted sick time so I go to work regardless.
