So when you go to the ER with Migraine, why is there not a place there that doesn't make it worse? I have had to go to the ER on several occasions with Migraine. I never understand why I always have to wait in the freaking bright waiting room, that is usually noisy and smells. Sometimes I think that going there makes things way worse, before they get better. There is something called a headache concoction, meds see to vary, but Benadryl is always in the mix. They have done to me in the hosptaial when admitted, as well as in the ER.
One person asked why they give a person with a migraine Benadryl. They do it because it helps the other drugs work better. They all work together to help the body relax and by doing this hopefully the headache will go away!
@A MyMigraineTeam Member, they usually give me an I.V drip because I am dehydrated, something for nausea, pain and benadryl. I don't know why they give me benadryl but they always do.
I don't no if anyone nos this but you can get special glasses which blocks out 100%light, they are expensive, I suffer with light sensitivity aura and everything else with my migraines thought about trying them.
If your lucky they can put you in a dark room if you need to be, just ask
