@A MyMigraineTeam Member It's called Occipital nerve stimulation & from what I've read it sends electrical impulses to the Occipital nerves to help "mask" the pain.I'm going to ask my doc about it when I next see him.

I have a occipital nerve and supraorbital neuro stimulator implant. If mine was only ONS it would not help. The key is having the 4 leads. Check out reedmigraine.com and sign up for a webinar. Best thing is you can do a trial first. Amazing device!!

I tried the Dr Reed trial for a week and didn’t have a migraine the whole week I had it on. That is really a plus for me so I’m getting ready to have the permanent one put in.

Yes @A MyMigraineTeam Member and @A MyMigraineTeam Member you should check it out. Some people only have an Occipital Nerve Stimulator (ONS) but I have something that helps even more. Mine is occipital and supraorbital nerve stimulator called the Reed Procedure. Having an ONS would not work for me because an ONS is just at the back of your head. I have leads over my eyebrows (supraorbital) so I can get rid of pain all over my head. Definitely check it out. Best thing about The Reed Procedure is you get to do a trial first before getting the permanent implant. Most doctors that do ONS just implant it in you and turn it on and then see if it works. So doing a trial for a week is the best. Reed had an 80% success rate and I am glad I am one of the successes. It' is not a cure but a way to manage the pain.
