I had a stroke potentially but could’ve also been hemiplegic migraines. I have brain damage in executive functioning and attention, got ADHD, and trouble with short term memory
Thanks so much for the encouraging
Hi Nicolelevin, You are not alone with your struggle. I am walking with you down the same path. I had my first stroke in 2004 without any long-lasting deficits. However, in 2009, I had a stroke that left me with brain damage, permanent short term memory loss, ADHD and was forced to go on disability due to memory loss. However, I have found ways to acclimate and cope. I pray you will be able to do the same and adjust to changes in life. Life does improve inspite of our deficits, it just takes time and patience.
I have had hemiplegic migraines as well. They do closely resemble a stroke or TIA and very scary. I have actually had a stroke so have been instructed to not wait but go to ER within 15 minutes to be safe. As my stroke has caused permanent short term memory loss and weakness on left side, I never hesitate to go. Please be careful.
I have hemiplegic migraines ( stroke-like). Added you to my group!
