Has Anyone Ever Been Prescribed Depakote For Migraines
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello all. I am new to this page and newly diagnosised with migraines. My neurologist has tried me on a couple of different medications with none working so far. Topamax made me lose weight and cymbalta makes me sick. Neurologist said next thing to try is Depakote. Was wondering if anyone has had any success on this medication. Thank you in advance.

Be careful with the depakote....I suffer from depression and anxiety so when I tried it, it sent me over the edge with horrible anxiety! I thought my stomach might just crawl out of my mouth! It was horrible!! Be careful.

Yes,and it did not work for me. It made my migraine pain worse but I think that it might work differently for different people.

Topamax works well with me as long as I take it before the headache substantially takes hold
