What I mean by strange speech patterns is trying to say something and it takes two or three tries to say it or scrambling something and it severely. The last couple of migraines I've noticed that it takes two or three times to say something. It's not slurred, just it seems like my brain can't put two and two together to make what it wants. Yes it is crazy Sometimes I can not pin point what exactly I am trying Sometimes I speak backwards or slur my words
This happens to me. I thought maybe it was caused by my medication, I would like to learn more about this.
It is aphasia, your migraine is messing with the part of the brain that controls speech. I get sentences mixed up and it can take me a few minutes to put one together. I forget words. I'll say the wrong words and not know it. One time I ordered flies at a restaurant.
Yes. I this happens to me. I feel my brain knows what to say, but I scramble words out loud. This happens before, during, and after a migraine episode.
That happens to me all the time. I talked about it with my family and friends when I realized what was happening. It has made communicating easier now that they know its part of my migraine when I mix up my sentences or start talking gibberish.
