Acupuncture is a relief for me but if I get it too often, it will stop working. Go figure. My neurologist does the acupuncture.

I asked my migraine specialist, an acupuncturist, a promoter, and a piercing professional about the piercing. My doctor said there is no medical deviance that is works and in his entire practice he had ten who tried it and two whom it worked long term. He also said that just doing something to combat the pain can be physiologically helpful. Acupuncturist said that the piercing is located on the zero point, it is the mother of all pints for pain. If you pierce it, it goes away. It will work for a few weeks, maybe months and then it will never give relief again. Acupuncture is about applying then stopping pressure applying again. I could try it with or without needles. I'm not an acupuncturist. The person specializing in migraine daith piercings said it was not acupuncture or science. It was about applying constant pressure point that is known to relieve pain. It just worked. I talked with the body piercing specialist, not the person at mall. She made it very clear that body piercing specialist are not doctors and they are not acupuncturist. Unless you see credentials, body artists do not have acupuncture training. Daith piercing also needs a special rod, she doesn't always have it in stock. My doctor stressed one more thing. If you do get the piercing go to a professional.

And, no, it didn’t hurt. There was a lot of pressure, and mine bled quite a bit, but it didn’t really hurt. My outer piercings hurt way worse than the daith.
