I also was on Nortriptyline 25mg which was working as a preventative migraine medication but when I started working, I took myself off it, because it made me so tired all day. I just couldn't work while on it. Sumatriptan is the generic for Imitrex .I tried it and had to always use that 2nd pill. Imitrex is best only usually need the one pill in 24 hrs. I had to get a special request form from my GP but they work better than generic version for me. The Nortriptyline I would still take for prevention if I wasn't working though.

My ENT started me on 25 mg. Nortriptylene (sp). He wanted me on 50 but I hated the side effects. 25 mg. Helps.
