Stress can set off Migraine...but I believe that it's essentially a neurological condition. ( with genetic links) πŸ˜‰

No doubt about genetic links... New study's have proven that. Migraines run on both aides of my family.

I've read there is a genetic component; however genes can be turned on and off by our environment. I, too, had a difficult childhood and marriage. I was just divorced in November.

I had a highly stressful job/career as well. It was in my 40s that the migraines hit. I'm now 62 and since taking Aimovig they are getting better. I've also moved, left my job and am semi-retired.

I definitely think our circumstances have an influence. I don't think they are the whole story though. Glad you brought it up.
