I wake up with them all the time. have you had a sleep study done. I It helped my husband.
Most all of mine come at night or early morning hours.
I do sometimes. Especially if I go to bed with a little headache, often by early morning it will escalate to a migraine (spike of pain through one eye) and I take Rizatriptan. Still feel bad all day if I have the migraine too long before I take the meds.
That’s how my migraines started. I’d be woken up in the middle of the night with a crushing pain. After a few years the started coming at anytime. It really really sucks. Make sure you get out of bed and take meds as soon as you can. I was almost half asleep and would not really recognize what was happening. By the time I got up to get meds is was in a full blown migraine. Key is to get meds in you ASAP
I have a CPAP device, however, the thing made it harder for me to sleep, so sleep deprivation made my migraines worse. My neuro recommended that I be re-evaluated and have a better device prescribed for my use. I hope that happens soon. In the meantime, the magnesium oxide that I take at night has been very helpful in reducing my nighttime migraine attacks.
Thank you for the advice. It is much appreciated.
