How To Manage Attacks In Different Climates
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm due to go to Florida next year, and im extremely nervous as my health has deteriorated since my last trip. Does anybody have any tips on how to manage attacks whilst im there in the parks? I don't remember having any attacks in my previous trips.

If you are going to be at the parks, that sounds great. There are two considerations though. First, the air quality that you are used to compared to the air quality in the area of the parks. I'm in FL but I never could go to a mountain area with thinner air. Second, if you come from an area with different plant life, there is a possibility you could be allergic to a seasonal plant down here. Just plan on bringing a small amount of antihistamine to help if you have a sudden breathing problem.

There’s a good article on my migraine team (here). I think it’s most important to have an informed travel mate and your meds in their original containers. Be sure to make your plans flexible so that you can have downtime if you need it! Tell your PCP and your neurologist about your plans before you go. Enjoy your trip! 😃
