No red wine and MSG here. But I can eat all the chocolate I want. Everybody is different.

Some people have trouble with high histamine foods. Some people get headaches when they eat foods they have an intolerance to.

I cannot have any diet drinks with the blue or pink sweetners. I will get an automatic migraine. I cannot drink kool-aid or Gatorade or if I eat too much sugar or carbs. Caffeine helps my migraine so I try to keep the same amount everyday. My Neurologist told me for people who get chronic migraines, they should not take any Tylenol because it is the worst medicine to take it causes rebound migraines. I had to stop taking my Fiorecet.

I have found certain foods to be triggers, but it is different for everyone. The most common are chocolate, chocolate, cheese, red wine, and too much processed sugar.
But I have a friend who gets migraines, and every week she tells me a new food that she believes is causing her migraines.
I think it’s most important to stay hydrated and not get too hungry. And other than that, follow what is considered most healthy like fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and other healthy choices.
Chocolate is definitely one of my triggers and I’ve had to eliminate chocolate for over 40 years. Occasionally, I can eat part of a chocolate chip cookie or a fingernail bite of chocolate but that’s it.
