ā€œIce Hatsā€ & PT
A MyMigraineTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

Good afternoon šŸ˜Š. Has anyone tried an ā€œice hatā€ of sorts? It was just mentioned to me. Is it worth the purchase? Also, what about migraine PT? I just learned of this, too. Iā€™m into the 10th year of a chronic migraine and it is unbearableā€¦ šŸ˜”. Thank you for potential FYI and have a great day ~ šŸ¤—

I feel you, Janet. My inpatient stay was remarkable, yet upon discharge and removal of the IV, I was back in the ER the next day šŸ˜¢. The search for any relief continuesā€¦ Stay well and have a great weekend ~ šŸ˜Š

Iā€™ve had my Migraine Hat for about 15 years. I use it for ā€œThe Horrible Chronic Migrainesā€ w added allergic Rhinitis, and left side of my head pain added in w my TMJ. Spring warm weather also ALL this month bothers my Allergies šŸ¤§. I think everyone has different remedies for migraines. Migraine hat doesnā€™t always help but heat makes a difference at the same time on my chest and stomach. One PT told me about both a long time ago, but for my back pain. When both are used at the same time it confuses the brain. It works and feels great being able to fall asleep which really helps. Iā€™ve been to the ER twice because my head felt like it was ready to explode. Once last November and January of this year. That was the last place I wanted to go. I didnā€™t have a choice. January visit to the ER was during an appointment at same hospital for a Nerve Block from my New Neurologist I lifted my head off of the table and my BP spiked over 200 she wheeled me over to the ER in a Wheelchair. Triage took BP and it was over 227/90 took it again 10-15 minutes later and it was 122/80. šŸ˜… Phew! No slurred speech or other neurological problems thank goodness. November head felt like it was also going to explode but w squiggly black line over my right eye ER visit They gave me an Ice Pack,Reglan,Benedryl and another medication. All IV. Stayed overnight waiting for an MRI. After many doctors, Neuro Residents and Nurses. They tested me many times everyone that came through. The three things going on all at once like the Imperfect Storm ā›ˆ Ugggghh. Thank you for letting me Vent. Thatā€™s why I havenā€™t been on this site in a very long time. Take care Everyone and have a Great Weekend!! šŸ˜˜šŸ™šŸ»

I bought Ć n Ice Cap a few years ago. Wore it only a few times. The cold was making my migraine worse. So I tried a heating pad on my head and it works great. I just lie down and put the heating pad around my head and sleep. When I get up I feel way better.

I just received mine a couple of days ago. I couldnā€™t get to sleep last night because of a migraine and the ice cap was ready.( You have to put in freezer for a few hours before using). It lessened the pain, felt wonderful and was able to fall asleep. I donā€™t think the ice caps will take migraines away but sure do lessen the pain.

I bought a Migraine Cap on fb about 6years ago. Works really well for me. Was only$20. Earlier I was at Walmart&saw kind of the same thing. Worth the money!!
