RitaJurgess Sometimes being home alone with your husband is a drag especially when you're irritated already. I am too quick to bitch first and back up later. I'm 75 and have 6 adult children and only 1 with him. I spent the 1st 20 yrs. raising them literally alone. So I'm used to being the boss. I'm not going to say I'll learn but I'm toooo old to. I'm sorry you don't have any friends around you. You sound like an exciting person. Keep trying you may just find one yet. I just call one of my children and listen to them and offer advice or whatever they need. We live alone unless someone needs a bed then we tell them to take it. Please take care and have a good week.
Hi JaneGroves I forgot to mention I also have fibromyalgia and diabetes. I keep forgetting my other things I deal with. The biggest problem is the depression and anxiety. I need to deal with hearing aids next. I don't think it'll help with tinnitus tho. Have a really good weak Jane. You're on my mind.
Yes, I have been diagnosed with IBS, Chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and strokes.
Hi Cat! Yes beadwork is meditative if I didn’t have that as my hobby I think I’d go nuts! Yes I do get out of the house every now and then. Sometimes I attend the Dallas Bead Society meetings, and the Wild West Bead Society meetings once a month. That is about the extent of my getting out of the house. Other times when I can’t get out of the house I use zoom to see the meetings taking place.
I have lived here in Texas now for 27 years and I thought I made 2 friends, but one won’t even talk to me hardly at all and she is getting ready to move back to Arkansas with her hubby this time next year she won’t answer her phone or her text messages or even messenger chat….the other lady I met online found out she was in Texas as well. She moved back home to PA so she can be near her kids. Now I have no one near me that I can go see or chat with or whatever. I guess it has always been destined for me to be alone other than hubby.
:-) I don’t know if that is a compliment or what…lol Thanks for your kindness much appreciated!
Hugs
Rita J
I am glad you have beadwork and crochet. It sounds nice and meditative. I agree there is a lot of BS out there. I also have anxiety and have a service dog to go with me during bad days.
I am trying to be a bit more social because I will be all alone after my mother is gone, but it takes a lot out of me. I have friends who live 3.5 hours away and in other states, and trying to make friends where I have lived for five years has been hard. It's almost too tiring. I'd rather be at home in the quiet, but I also need to get away from home, too.
Thanks for sharing. When I am home thinking I should be out there more, I will think of you!
