Our area was in 90 degrees in late August, we then dropped into the 70's for about three to four days to get that taste of fall weather and now we have climbed back into the 90 degree temperature once again. Because of this temperature bounce I am going right back into migraine activity once again. Last night wasn't too extreme but this morning was just horrible as my stomach was turned inside out with nausea, migraine aura, and vertigo.

I'm to the point where I can't eat anything just stay… read more

It surely is nice when hubby kicks in to help along the way! Makes things a bit easier for you that way! Glad you were able to eat something and keep it down. Hopefully you can keep cool in this heat wave. I’m so thankful we only got the triple digit heat for 3 days this summer so that is going to make the next few months much cooler. Take care hun! I’m off to bed!

I’m in Texas so the weather is always doing this and it is so annoying and painful when it happens. I never did have any weather related migraines until about 2 years ago when I asked my doctor about it, he said this is normal for migraines, even when it rains some people get extreme migraines….now I started watching in Ernest to find out what the pattern is that is causing my migraines….much to my surprise it was all the weather changes that causes a drop or spike in pressure. I woke up this morning and my head was banging like someone was playing drums inside my ears. this is the first one in several months that I’ve had a migraine boy I do not miss them…lol. My doctor gave me nausea medication but I couldn’t take them so I started with Keebler Reduced Fat Crackers and ate one or two depending on how bad the nausea is. Keebler crackers are the only ones I found to help with the nausea, the saltine crackers just made it worse. Then just stay hydrated as much as I can. Of course that means I couldn’t drink my favorite coffee but when you are that nauseated you don’t want it…lol.

The rest you pretty much know…use a cool cloth on your forehead and neck and rest in a dark room until it lifts. When you are nauseated it is best not to use heat at this point it will aggravate it. Been there done that one…yikes won’t do that again. If you can get ahold of one of them machines that have the nature sounds in them and put it on very low so you can barely hear it and then just listen while resting. It helps to let you drift off to sleep instead of wondering when the migraine is going to break. Just remember to listen on low volume. You don’t want to piss off the head anymore than it is…lol.

I have added coconut water to my daily routine for added hydration or electrolytes. I mix it with my regular water or add to a sparkling juice, The flavor is very slight so I find it easy to handle even when I'm fighting nausea .

Hopefully I'm not speaking too fast but since we're entering into the fall season the weather temperature is dropping again and hanging out - not changing. Doing well with this seasonal weather change.
