I have chronic and hemiplegic migraines, so I asked my optometrist about regular sunglasses with my correction, but I didn’t want them all the time. I discovered new lenses with my old frames would be around $450 with my insurance. I already ordered new frames and lenses, and the cost for a custom clip-on secured by magnets drilled into the (only) new lens with migraine filter is $205. Any advice?

I have the same type of migraines. I purchased the migraine lenses, FL41, and it helps to reduce migraines and symptoms. They were about $100 and I highly recommend.
I have the same problem. I had one of my glasses customized at Costco when I was on vacation in SC. It is much darker than my other glasses (I have two separate pairs). I wear them when I am on my computer, at night as they are also polarized and I can actually see without the lights blinding me and sometimes when I watch TV. It was very costly $$$$ I won’t lie but worth it. If I find myself in a department store with too many lights I just switch to my other pair and it has helped tremendously.

I understand but just like all neurologist didn't study the same thing. It was only a suggestion because you find out other things that may be of assistance by seeing 👀 an othalmologist. No harm, no foul. We're here to help each other with ideas and support.
@A MyMigraineTeam Member with all due respect, why? It’s not an eye problem, it’s a migraine problem. I have my retina’s scanned in addition to his exam of my retina.
