I have a few questions to pose to those that have gotten the daith piercing.

I have a few questions to pose to those that have gotten the daith piercing.

1. Are they easy to remove & put back in? I have multiple brain issues so i have to get annual scans so i have to remove ALL my facial piercings. I cannot get any piercings that i cannot remove myself or put back in myself.
2. Are they sensitive/painful to lie on or to remove/put back in?
3. How quickly did you notice the difference in your migraines?
4. Did you get both sides done? If not, do you think you should've?
5. Would you… read more

Cartilage peciring

Cartilage peciring

I have headaches that last sometimes 2 days then sometimes a week. Does any one have a cartilage piercing ? And if so did they help with the headaches? I've gotten a cartilage piercing before but do not remember if it helped me or not. I just want to feel better .

Cartilage piercing will not. Daith piercing is what has a chance of helping.

Does anyone else have issues with not sleeping? Waking up and staying awake?

Does anyone else have issues with not sleeping? Waking up and staying awake?

For a long time now, I have had issues with sleep, falling asleep, waking up and then falling back to sleep. I've tried melatonin, Zquil and Unisom and all I've gotten are weird dreams. Do others have this issue and what do you do about it? What meds do you take? Over the counter or prescription? And what side effects are there? I see my neurologist at the end of the month and I plan on bringing this back up because I'm not even getting 5… read more

Does anyone have any suggestions for staying migraine free in disney world or similar places?

I am going on a trip without my family for the first time and I'm a bit scared... to top it off I'm going to Disney World where I have always gotten terrible migraines. I'd love any and all suggestions to help the migraines be minimal. Thanks!

Topiramate and intelligence?

Topiramate and intelligence?

I've been on Topiramate for a while (300mg daily) and none of the side effects are that bad except I'm worried about my intelligence levels and language disability. It wasn't that bad until maybe the past couple of months and now I feel like my intelligence levels have dropped and my memory has gotten worse. I am not able to write nearly as well as I did in the past and can't really form sentences and my vocabulary is poor. I wanted to know what other people's experiences have been… read more

Are migraines hereditary?

Are migraines hereditary?

I have gotten my migraines under control for the most part. I found my big trigger was lactose so I stay away from it as much as possible. But now my son is getting migraines. I started getting mine around the age of 10 and so did he. He's not 13 and gets them almost weekly. Are migraines hereditary? Could his hormones make them worse because of his age? What are some relief options to use with him?
