I recently started tracking my migraines again in preparation for seeking another neurologist. I came across a fantastic app for tracking - Migraine Buddy. Very detailed. Android users can get it… read more
I have gotten my migraines under control for the most part. I found my big trigger was lactose so I stay away from it as much as possible. But now my son is getting migraines. I started getting mine around the age of 10 and so did he. He's not 13 and gets them almost weekly. Are migraines hereditary? Could his hormones make them worse because of his age? What are some relief options to use with him?

I was taken off topomax 3 weeks ago when i got botox and was given samples of qulipta. Now its been a week without any medicine and i had my 2 migraines. But that is usual. I am sick of medicine and the side effects. Acid reflux and stomach aches. Anyone just listen to their bodies instead of the doctor?

I have a migraine headache starting first thing in the morning every day. Some days the headache is more severe and some days not too bad. Also, some days it resolves by noon and some days lasts all day. Overall, you can see it really interferes with my daily activities activities and just general sense of well being. Nobody wants to have a painful headache all day every day. I have found that I can reliably reduce the pain significantly by taking 2-200 mg Ibuprofen at 4:00 am and 2 high potency… read more
Thanks for the info.
Any suggestions I'm suffering so badly. After tracking my migraines I notice that they come around both ovulation and menstruation therefore I am attributing them to hormones. I will also get the occasional random one which ( like if I skipped a meal or was stressed or something) which is not as bad an can be moved with painkillers but these hormonal ones are brutal and do not shift with anything and are even surviving through a sleep now (which used to be the only thing that would help in a… read more
