I was taking amovig but it wasn't working for me. Is Emgality different if so what is the difference? I would need help paying for Emgality. I didn't pay anything for my 140 mg amovig. My email is (Email address can only be seen by MyMigraineTeam users) I hope to hear from someone soon please!!
Not considering it do to bad side effects and too many injections
I've been taking emgality for about 6 months now and I've found that some months it helps but other months it doesn't.
It helped at first but towards the end the migraine comes back.
Emgality worked for awhile, took away about 75% of my migraines but after being on it for sometime it stop working. Did I mention they are very painful injections ðŸ˜
I'm desperate at this point. Botox every pain med, morphine, whatever. Nothing works. Hot, cold
So painful and so upsetting

I like Emgality too. It helps.
I’m having trouble getting my insurance to cover Emgality and my neuro says that Aimovig might be easier to get through for some reason. However, I’m rather concerned about the severe constipation side effect that has caused some patients to need surgery as that has been an issue I’ve had my whole life. How have you guys combatted that side effect? Any info you think would be useful would be much appreciated! TIA! 😊

I will get an MRI Monday to see if mine has grown. Constant headache is worse.

Last year I had BCBS insurance, they denied my Emgality even after appealing 5 times. Switched to Aetna the first of the year and they covered it without have to do a prior authorization. It really helps reduce my migraines to about 1 a week. I know this wasn’t really a question but thought others might like to know. 😊
