My doctor has me doing Botox and I've only been to the ER once a month or less since I started... sounds like a lot but it's not for me when it was once or twice a week
I have chronic migraine but I was recently diagnosed with intractable. Interested in learning more.
I often wish I had something since I don't go to the ER.
The only thing my doctor and I found to ever work on my migraines was Percocet.
I haven't tried that drug. I'm going to ask my Dr about that medicine. I have to hurry he is retiring the end of this month.

I get lots of intractable migraines that last longer that 48-72 hours & don't respond to standard treatment (also called status migrainosus). I would love to know if any of you have ideas on how to treat them?
To complicate things further I can't take ergots or triptans because of severe side effects to these medications in the past. I'm afraid to try topomax as I'm super sensitive to medications. But gabapentin not working to prevent my migraines. Would love input from others!
