Hello. I have 20mg prednisone on hand for unbreakable migraines. I haven’t had to use it in a while, but I need it now. For those of you who have used it, do you typically take one daily for 3 days or 5? And no tapering required? Thank you!
There is an anti-CGRP med available this year: Qulipta. I have United Healthcare Medicare Advantage & it's not on the drug formulary. So I have to get a prior authorization. The pharmacist said… read more

Please please let me know some names of medications that you have had some success with. I have tried a couple with not much success. I have found that botox works but I am unable to have health benefits at this time. When I did have benefits it was covered and life was not as painful 😓.
Sumatriptan (generic Imitrex) is cheap at Costco and works well for me as a rescue. Currently, gabapentin is helping me a lot for prevention.

However, I had no idea that by taking the prescribed medication as directed, I could actually be causing more migraines. But if I don’t take them, I’m in excruciating pain and am… read more
I get a lot of headaches in the morning. I use Sumatriptan and try to watch how often I take it. I am on the lowest dose. It is frustrating that there is no one set cure for this disease. I will… read more
